Jaclyn Helzerman, social services director at Rivergate Terrace in Riverview, Michigan, received Life Care Centers of America’s 2012 Northeast Division Whatever It Takes And Then Some Award for her devotion to customer service and extraordinary kindness. Helzerman’s dedication to her facility’s residents and patients extends beyond her job. When a short-term resident’s husband entered the hospital with terminal cancer, Helzerman made arrangements so that the patient could visit her spouse and be with him when he passed away. The resident had no other family, so Helzerman also went to her home several times a week to care for her cats.
Her story is just one of many tales of exceptional customer service and care found throughout our nursing homes and rehabilitation centers.
